Credit where credit is due...
Pengo-N is written by some guy who always signs his name in Japanese characters. The Pengo-N title and picture I scanned in myself from the title page of Pengo-N, Volume 1. I scanned them with Ofoto 2.0.2, cleaned them up in SuperPaint 3.5. I then used GifConverter 2.3.7 to make them into gif files, JPEGView 3.3 to make the files smaller, and Transparency 1.0 to make part of them invisible.
The background is just the picture of Pengo given a little extra tweaking in SuperPaint, lightening in Photoshop, and fed through GifConverter and JPEGView.
I've had a hard time interpreting the text. Most of the Japanese I know (of which there is very little) is from fanfics with Japanese words and footnotes containing translations. This tells me nothing of the grammar, and I cannot vouch for the accuracy of these translations. I think I've figured out a couple of the character's names, but am unwilling to post anything of the sort on my page until I've verified it.
