Abis Mal is always trying to steal the lamp that the genie lives in. He never learns that the genie is free and no longer grants wishes. His dream is to rule Agrabah. His second wish is for lots of "poofy" hair like Aladdin's, or at least a really nice hat. He has also dropped hints that he is jealous of Aladdin's physical shape (age, build, non-obesity, strength, speed, agility, and of course, his "poofy hair"), if this gives you any hint of what Abis is like... Abis Mal is probably the opponent Aladdin faces most often, attesting to his determination. His sidekick Haroud is smarter than he is.
