Mozenrath

Mozenrath is a powerful wizard and the ruler of the Land of the Black Sand. Much of his power comes from his gauntlet, which, over time, has drained his right hand to mere bone. He keeps his cool at all but the most desperate times, and, unlike so many other antagonists, is a young, suave (though he does enjoy a good taunt or gloat once in a while), and good-looking guy. Mozenrath's goal is to rule the seven deserts, and maybe even the world. His motivation is always to become more powerful, and to that end, he tries to capture the genie and drain him of his magic. To this end he has even gone so far as to hire a Muktar. Xerxes is his flunky, and he often uses Mamluks as his servants and soldiers.

"I am Mozenrath." "Why conquer it? Oh because it's there!" The late Jonathan Brandis was the voice of Mozenrath. He did a good job capturing the haughtiness of the magician. Sources also indicate that Jeff Bennet was called in for the job for the episode "Black Sand."
